The primary objective
of the tire inspection is to select the tires that are free from manufacturer
defects or non-repairable damage. The casing needs to be capable of wearing
out another tread.

This process is necessary to remove the old tread and achieve the proper texture while leaving one to three 32nds of rubber above the belt package
The
tire must be repaired, as needed, to prepare the tire for new tread. Shrader
uses all Rema repair materials.
A-Z
puts cushion on casing, filling all buzzouts and places cushion on with uniformity.

The envelope is designed to create a differential pressure between the tread
and the buffed surface of the casing. This creates a proper bond of the tread
to the casing.
Tuff
Seals are put in place to seal the envelope at bead areas.
The
chamber holds 25 tires which are monitored with individual guages during the
cure cycle.
Upon
the completion of the retread process, each tire is inspected for evidence of
errors, damage or other problems which may make the tire unsatisfactory for
service.
Each
tire is tagged for delivery to the proper fleet. This is controlled by the
barcoding system that the plant uses at each station and on every tire.
